I got a full sleeve wetsuit.  But that was because I knew I would be doing some cold water swims in triathlons...mostly outside our region (Lake Logan in the North Carolina mountains and Ironman Arizona).  Full  sleeve worked well enough along with a sillicone swim cap worn under the race swim cap to keep me warm swimming 2.4 miles in 63 degree water.

If you are doing tris mostly around here, sleeveless probably should be the way to go.  Keep in mind that wetsuit season for tris is limited to the early season and late season races because most races in June, July and August are in water temperatures too warm for wetsuits period.

But with this unseasonably cold winter....I can see why you would think about a full sleeve suit for the Oxbow Tri this year.

And I think you can get arm warmer attachments to go with a sleeveless wetsuit so you have the best of both....you should get some great responses here from others in the forum on what's out there.

First time out...don't recommend ordering online.  I got mine at an Ironman y

Hit the wrong button and ended my post a little early.  Got my current wetsuit at the Ironman 70.3 Buffalo Springs Lake sports expo.  First tried on a suit that lined up in size with what specs were on what I saw in online ads. Wound up being too small in the chest area so I had to go one size up.

There is some information in another thread also.

I want to add that it also comes down to personal preference. Some people can handle colder water than others.  I have done a half IM with no wetsuit at 70ish water temp and did a sprint last year with the water temp at 66 with no suit.  I wish someone had advised me to buy a sleeveless instead of sleeved.  I think I might wear it more it if I wouldn't get so over heated.  Speed wise, not much difference in a sleeved vs. sleeveless.

i went with the idea that sleeves were too hot for many years...the fact is that any wetsuit is hot in our climate. if you are going to bother with a ws, get a sleeved as it provides the max benefit...there is a difference...
i use a desoto 2 piece b/c it gives me the most range of motion. it also has a low neck and i have worn it for multiple hours at a time with little chaffage....
