Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all from your 2010 BRTri Board Members.

First and foremost special thanks to our 2009 board members Debbie Ellington, Christine Whitlow, Tom Townsend, Jeff Crow, for direction and steadfastness through a dynamic club year. Secondly, for the elected general board and special assignment crew of Anne Shawhan, Chris Boggs, Clay Jackson, Chad Soileau, Neil Rome and Will Jones. These guys in conjunction with the board were the real “doer’s” that made things happen in BRTri. Thank you all!!!

The 2010 year is shaping up to be a great year. The board has had two successful meetings. Our first meeting was an introductory meeting for the 2010 board to have some level of communication with the past board. This was held at Walk-On’s on December 2, 2009. Our second meeting was held on December 16, 2009 at Bear’s Restaurant. Our obvious hot topic that all boards face first thing is sponsorship. We already have some new sponsors complete with special benefits. There are also numerous present sponsors that have given us the o.k. for 2010!!

We are presently in the process of putting together a “Timeline of Events” and encourage participation form our members. Please communicate with us on things that are important to you either as a racer or one of our many dedicated BRTri members. This will help us as a club to stay connected, plan events, and meet deadline requirements. This will lend itself to be a great working tool for our club.
